Why the name Aqeel Qaid. Actually I wanted the initials to be 2 As...and right after knowing that I was pregnant, i found this beautiful name, Aasyif, which means bold, courageous over the internet..and it wasn't me who wanted to name our baby so early in my pregnancy, it was Aminsyah...so off i went, looking for one. and aminsyah wants Aqeel which means knowledgeable...so at 5 weeks old up until 7 or 8 months, Qaid's name was Aasyif Aqeel. Our other requirement is that since this is our 1st boy, he should be pandai, and he should be brave enough to be a leader Then, when ramadhan came, after the many trips to kompleks pkns shah alam, we finally bought a book that has a list of good names in Islam compiled by Ustaz Ismail Kamus.
